Fan system

Element from Big Ass Fans works with HVAC systems to move large volumes of air in commercial spaces. Gearless, direct drive technology, and onboard electronics provide silent operation (<40 dBA) while eliminating electromagnetic interference. The 12 to 20-ft Element carries a 10-year, nonprorated warranty with factory installation.

Inline pump

Taco, Inc.'s KS pump line is now available via Autodesk as Revit (.rfa) files. The KS pump line is a vertical split coupled inline pump. They are suitable for HVAC and industrial applications. Available in over 30 models-all included as Revit (.rfa) files.

Fluorescent bulbs

BULBRITE introduces the Purify02 family of Coil and T5 Quad CFLs which break down odors and are suited for damp smelling applications. Purify02 CFLs are energy efficient and designed with a TiO2 coating that helps purify the air and eliminate odors. A Tri-Phosphor provides high-lumen output and lumen maintenance. Purify02 CFLs offer 8,000 life hours. Lamping options include LEDs, HID, compact fluorescents, fluorescents, halogens, krypton/xenon, incandescent, and a broad range of specialty lamps.

Compact lighting

Nora Lighting introduces compact fluorescent GU24 family of housings and trims that accept interchangeable, self-ballasted GU24 CFL lamps in 13W, 18W, and 26W. The NHIC/NHRIC GU24 CFL series includes six down light models with 4″, 5″ and 6″ apertures. The self-ballasted CFL lamps feature electronic instant-starts and no-flicker performance. All new Nora CFL housings are CA Title 24-compliant and the 6″ version is Energy Star-rated. Fixtures are airtight and approved for insulated ceilings and CUL-listed for damp locations.

Sound masking

LogiSon Acoustic Network is a networked sound-masking, paging, and music system which distributes an engineered background sound, helps to cover up noises and speech, and improves sleeping conditions and overall comfort. The system keeps the noise floor at a level between 42 and 48 dBA.

Cooling management system

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, introduces the SmartAisle cooling management solution that uses cold aisle containment to increase cooling efficiency and rack capacity. The flexible SmartAisle solution contains the cold aisle to prevent hot and cold air from mixing, while adding a layer of intelligent management through the Liebert iCOM control system. Knurr cabinets from Emerson Network Power are used within the cold-aisle containment structure and the solution can be adapted to existing IT racks. The SmartAisle solution can be used on raised or non-raised floors, and is compatible with variable capacity Liebert DS and Liebert CW cooling units containing Liebert iCOM controls, as well as row-based Liebert CRV and Liebert XD systems with Liebert iCOM controls.

Partitioning system

Skyfold is a vertically folding acoustical partition that neatly stores in the ceiling. In the down position, Skyfold is an automatic, retractable, two-sided, rigid wall with an STC rating of 51. Changes in room configuration can be achieved within minutes by a simple turn of a key. Skyfold partitions do not require any floor or wall tracks and are available in a variety of finishes.

Air handler

Trane commercial introduces the Performance Climate Changer air handler. The Performance Climate Changer air handler has a flexible design that adapts to changing needs, tight mechanical rooms, renovations, and retrofits. They can be applied with water chillers in a low-flow, low-temperature HVAC system design which helps reduce emissions, lowers first cost and operating cost, and provides comfort with lower space humidity.
